Can you see me?

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Part of the on- going project, “Kärlek”.

A illustrated book illustrating feelings and emotions when one’s in love. The insecurity, despair, uncertainty, and other feelings are explored in this illustrated book. A total of ten illustrations were drawn, each accompanied by a short sentence hinting the emotions of the illustration.

I hate the day I don’t see you.

So confused, so confused.

Since when it has become an addiction which can never be stopped?

Please don’t look away from me.

Always wonder where this feeling of insecurity came from.

I hate to realise I am the one who stopped myself from moving forward.

So many questions, so little time.

Can I have a look at your mind?

I don’t want to drag you out of your life by taking part in yours

Because all I want is a beautiful world with you living in.

The Londoner

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Everyone should dress like this London.

Bulletproof jacket, helmet and oxygen mask prepared for suicide bombers and terrorist’s attack. Mechanical hook to catch buses when bus drivers tried to ignore you. Rollerblades instead of the expensive travel cost.

Yea, welcome to London.

Don’t even know since I enjoy going to “yumcha” with friends.

Normally I would create an event on facebook to inform my friends, and often you will need to have a image to go with your event.

That’s where this illustration came from.

I love yumcha. 🙂

3)Specialist

4)Innovation/ Originality

5)Flexibility

6)Growth/ Cultivation

I decided to concentrate of two of them, which were “Innovation/ Originality” and “Flexibility”.

I illustrated a person with a power station rising up from his head representing generation of ideas as my piece for “Innovation/ Originality”.  My second illustration, “Flexibility” was illustrated as a flexible person helping a small person hinting the bank being flexible enough to suit client’s need.

D&AD 2008

We were asked to produce a illustrated book around the theme, “Identity”.

I tried to illustrate the feelings and emotions when I first arrived in UK. I built my own narrative with a series of illustrations. The whole story was told by a few words on each page and I kept the images subtle and let the audience to interpret the images themselves.
