[THE PEACE] – Latest mural “THE PEACE”. ‘Finding peace’ has been a theme I have been working on lately. My mural used to be more aggressive and mainly focused a lot on the initial impact on the audiences, while things have changed a lot since 2021 and now I focus a lot more on my inner self, making peace with my insecurity and personal weaknesses. Creating something which is both impactful yet peaceful. Capturing that gracefulness, quietness and most important of all, the gentleness of humanity. The one lesson we are all learning everyday, how to become a better person, how to be more gentle to each other, and yes I still have a very long way to go.
The mural was painted in layers. The first layer was the snow leopard, capturing that sense of quietness and solitude. The warm air exhaling from its both creates a sense of motion, echoed by the falling snow surrounding it. The monk like being in the middle has appeared a few times in my other personal work, I guess it has slowly become a manifestation of my belief. To possess, you shall first let go, hence the opened hands, which brings the blossom of enlightenment. The heart rate graph represents the idea that everything could change with a single heart beat, a change of mind, perspective and ideology. Things will always look different depending where you are standing. The difference between heaven and hell lies in your way of thinking.
Thank you to everyone at @dozy.cafe who provided their support and their trust to allow me to paint what I want to paint. Sometimes searching for a wall to paint murals with this type of theme could be a little tricky, yet nowadays there are still people willing to let me be free and paint what I have envisioned truly makes me grateful and delighted. This may well be one of the most memorable pieces of mural I have done yet and hopefully will be more to come in the future.
